Recycled newsprint pad - 18 x 24 inches - 32 lb. weight - 100 sheets. Product is unique and carries its own natural characteristics. It is manufactured in Canada.
Very economical 100 sheet tape-bound pad
For what this is, I guess it's fine. But I really don't like rough newsprint paper, and SMOOTH is otherwise unavailable in anything other than 18 x 24 - Strathmore 300. Finally purchased some:School Smart Newsprint Drawing Paper, 30 lb, 12 x 18 Inches. B0042SYRL4It's great. Tear it in half, use the backing of an old 9 x 12 pad, glue the top to make your own SMOOTH newsprint pad. Relief.I use this product as at cage pan liner for my cockatiel's bird cage. It is just clean newsprint paper and much less expensive than liners at pet stores. After getting fed up with mediocre customer service and long waits in checkout lines with a minimum number of cashiers at craft stores such as JoAnn and Michaels, I decided to order it on Amazon Prime. Virtually the same product, different name, competitively priced, but without the long lines and mediocre customer service that make you feel like you are doing them a favor to shop in their retail stores. From now on I will be buying this product on Amazon.I was in need of something to put on the floor where my cat eats. He makes a mess when eating canned food and I finally got tired of cleaning cat food off tile and grout twice daily 365 days a year. First I checked out paper placemats but the price was outrageous. Then I thought of newsprint, found this tablet, and it's working out great. Nice big sheets so mister cat can drop all he wants. I just fold the carnage up in the paper and store in a bag in the freezer until garbage day. There's a reason why newspapers use a specific kind of paper, which is because it's cheap to make. The reason this pad is so cost-effective is because it's made from the same material, which makes it an ideal purchase for practicing for the beginning artist. Keep in mind that jet-black ebony pencils do not turn out jet-black on this paper, rather a medium dark gray (HEX #666666 or so) which means your final product will not produce the same quality as on a thicker artistry paper. The quality of the newsprint is pretty good and the pad itself seems well-bound but flimsy due to its lightweight paper, so putting a board behind it is highly recommended.I recommend this product for new sketchers that require a higher degree of practice, such as to practice their shapes (which are easily traceable on this paper - tracing shapes is good practice for muscle memory, but do NOT trace anything detailed, only cut-out shapes), lines, or object drawings before attempting them on more presentable surfaces. More advanced artists should purchase a more expensive pad with higher-quality paper as their drawings will have sufficiently better quality on it and tend to be more receptive to shape drawings as well.Newsprint is not archival, and in general of lower quality, so don't plan to use this for your masterpieces. As a beginning art student, it has been so liberating to switch some of my work to through-away paper - it teaches you to experiment, to try again, to do something for its own sake and not for social media. Color of the paper is a light gray that will work great for charcoal and darker pencil.First time trying the newspaper canson pad is 30lb weight very thin paper yet it takes a beating well especially having to erase much it held up without ripping used elegant writer they bled through a little the sharpie and sakura glazed did not bleed thorough the paper very pleased with this thin paperI always like this brand and the 12x24’s always fall off (like the binding) and it’s not bad but sometimes it can be annoying! I would suggest getting some artists clips with it to keep them in place!Fast delivery and was slightly better than I expected, was surprised how much news print cost online but the quality of it is pretty good in this, thicker and darker than the cheap stuff you are given in lesson.Really like this paper. One of my students used it for printing a magazine, double-sided worked well on an inkjet printer - in this case a nice Canon Pixma Pro - 1it's newsprint, it's cheap, it's huge, it's a good thingTenía muchas ganas de usar papel de periódico para estampar en serigrafía, pero aunque venga descrito como 90x60 cm es LA MITAD, 45x60cm.
