This book is well worth the money spent. It is a practical guide for anyone contemplating making such a trek; here (Southwest part of France through the Pyrennes Mountains) or in other spots in Europe. The advice the author gives can be applied to other such walks. (she advises her readers on places for sleeping, eating, finding internet connections, talking to locals, getting medical treatment, and more) In addition, it is written in an easy to understand style and presented much as would be a personal journal. Being a lover of cusine, the author also shares some recipes with the reader which alone are worth the price of the book being both easy and quite good. Moreover, Pyrenees Pilgrimages is a fascinating account of the history of the region and local customs. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to make such a trek or for anyone who likes books about travel and or history.
