This is comfortable. I don't feel any stitching as some reviewers said and I am picky. It is definitely more fluffy than my previous mattress cover. I like that it is breathable. It was difficult to wash as it is water proof and puffed up in my washer because the water wasn't going through but that happens with most waterproof things anyway.I ordered this one to protect my mattress. It is made very well and very comfortable on my bed.. was a good choice.. my old mattress pads were quilted and getting lumpy..This pad saves my old uneven mattress! It is thick, soft, supportive, and comfortable to lay on. True to size, stays in place, and not noisy when moving around.I originally placed this pad on top of a new mattress topper as part of my mattress rescue mission but I find that it is warm to sleep on. I lost the cooling effect of my new mattress topper so I moved the pad down and placed it directly on top of my old mattress to level out its unevenness.This pad + a new mattress topper saves me from buying a new mattress! For my use case, I rate it 4/5. If only it was cooler to sleep on then I would have rated it 5 stars.This is a substantial mattress pad, comfortable and nicely-cushioned but not over-padded. It doesn't have that noisy "crinkle" that some mattress pads have. It is hypoallergenic and has no chemical smell.It fit well over our hefty mattress which is 10 inches thick. Over several weeks of use, the mattress pad stayed in place under the fitted sheet, without creeping up or down as many mattress pads tend to do.With this mattress pad, I woke up clammy/sweaty in the middle of the night a couple of times. This hasn't happened with other mattress pads. So this mattress pad may be too warm for some sleepers.The matress pad was packaged well and tight in a vacuum bag inside a box. It had no odor and was easy to stretch for installation. The top layer is both reasonably soft to touch and understandably stiff in texture at the same time. There also is enough filling to avoid being completely flat. The pad doesn't seem to have any silicone coating on the fabric which sometime make the air circulation difficult get warm. It would be the best to install the cover without washing to keep its waterproofing ability maximum. It's an overall good product.We opted for the bamboo version of this mattress pad protector. There are a LOT of mattress protectors out there on the market, and I don’t believe many of them are bad by any means, so it’s important to find one that suits your needs.Mostly, is it hypoallergenic if you need it to be? Is it waterproof if you have a nighttime bed wetter or hot and sweaty sleepers? Or are you just looking to extend the life of your mattress and don’t need to worry about additional luxuries like the sound of cheap plastic in your ear if you reach for the bottom tier protectors.I’ll fill you in on this one. This one seems to be mid-range quality, with some “crinkling” noise present. It seems moderately to very waterproof thus far; I can tell when I sweat now that there is an actual physical barrier stopping my sweat from being absorbed into the mattress. I also know that this brand carry’s hypoallergenic pads. So, if these hit your criteria and your price point, this seems to be the pad for you!
