This guidebook describes the best low-level walking in the Lake District, enjoying walks around the lakes, smaller fells and beauty spots such as Windermere, Wansfell Pike and Tarn Hows. New visitors to the Lake District will be delighted by the selection of walks taking in some of the most picturesque parts of the National Park, such as Windermere, Grasmere, and Ambleside as well as quieter areas like Buttermere and Thirlmere.
