First Day at Gettysburg Walking Tour - Explore Historic Battlefield Sites | Perfect for History Buffs & Civil War Enthusiasts

I highly recommend this guide for anyone wanting a looong hike around this part of the battlefield. The 3 tours provide ample information on the fighting that occurred during the 1st day, mostly from an infantry standpoint. Some of the Cavalry action wasn't as detailed, but I still feel 5 stars is appropriate. The side excursions do not factor into the total mileage the author specifies, so if you take those be prepared to walk further, also, be sure to wear boots and carry bug spray if you plan on walking the excursions. Each tour takes about 3 hours if you follow it word for word and go on the excursions. If you enjoy touring American Civil War battlefields and want to experience a new prospective this guide is for you. Very much enjoyed, I hope the author/publisher makes more of these!
