I liked the fit and comfortAll the good reviews are true! These are my new favorite walking shoes. I fight with achilles tendonitis off and on, so I must have supportive footwear. The heal toe drop is sufficient. I like the sturdy footbed. The insole is cloud-like, so if you like the support as your feet sink into the shoe, like Skechers, you'll like this shoe. I put my custom orthotics in to get the need arch support, plus there is still a nice amount of spring as I walk. White shoes. Well they really clean quite easily with a damp cloth! I bought 7 W. For comparison, I wear the same size in Nikes, 7.5 W in Brooks. Love these shoes!I workout everyday I’m on my elliptical and these are the only shoes I can wear that give me the support I need.I have an old pair of Spira Runners and like them. I have literally worn them out: they are now ragged. I decided to buy a replacement, but I am doing far more walking than running these days due an injury. I decided to try a Spira Walker.A relative has a pair of Spira walking shoes that look like "walking shoes" (a little "fuddy duddy" if you know what I mean.) I asked to try their shoes. I slipped on their shoes and the comfort and cushioning were a dream. I knew I wanted that type of shock absorption and comfort without the "old lady" look. When I saw these shoe listed as a walking shoe, but with the aesthetics of a running shoe I was so excited.When my new shoes arrived I was so sad because my old "worn out" sneakers still have more "give" and cushioning than the new shoes, especially in the ball of the foot area. These new shoes had heels which were adequately bouncy, but the area under the balls of my feet had no give, yield, or shock absorption. In addition, the arch support was non-existent. I was also shocked by how heavy and clunky they felt. They were far heavier than my running shoes, but with far less comfort. I could have tolerated the weight if they were very comfortable and cushioning to the balls of my feet. However, they were distinctly uncomfortable.I returned them.There were a few positives and they deserve to be mentioned. The shoes really are very pretty and the initial quality was excellent. The length, width, as well as the toe box areas were all as expected and true to size. The lacing process was easy and provided an excellent fit across the vamp. The dip at the back of the shoe, to accommodate the Achilles Tendon was well sized and had the perfect amount of padding.The return process was very easy and my money was returned promptly. Overall I was pleased with the Seller, but not with this particular Spira shoe. We don't have any Spira retailers near us, so I can't just go try on a bunch of different styles until I find a the right shoe.While my previous Spria experience allowed me to get the perfect size shoe, it was not the comfort or support I was expecting and needing.Super comfortable right out of the box. No breaking-in period. The three springs in the soles makes such a difference over every other athletic shoe out there. And the ample toe box adds to the overall great fit. Spira is a winner!I am a manager at a retail store and on my feet 8-9 hours a day, these cloud walkers are amazing!!! Thank you.Fits to size and my toes are not crammed in. Feet feel better after work. Have had compliments on the lookThe shoe came out in January 2004 and was invented by a person in El Paso. Where I happen to live. It is a lifesaver for people with plantar fasciitis!! I have been wearing this brand for sixteen years!
