i’ve had this cover for about 3 weeks. i’m very happy with my purchase. prior to buying this one i was pricing them at local bike shops which starting prices were at 75.00 to 150.00.i have no idea what the ones from bike shops offer that this one doesn’t. The small one fits my 19 Tacoma perfectly.i admit that i’m a little lazy so i’ve been keeping mine on consistently since i use it about every other day for 1 bike i do have to use a bungee to reinforce stability of the bike once it’s in the bed not a deal breaker. highly recommend. This system for transporting bikes is very easy to use. The bikes are securely held in place at the velcro fastening. I would recommend that users secure the bikes' back wheels if traveling on very winding or rough roads, as the bikes will lean to one side (and stay there) and the rear wheels will shift in the truck bed, or hop the grooves on a bed liner. I have not yet traveled far with my bikes in the truck, but intend to lash the rear bike wheels so they cannot shift in the truck bed. Also, there is a small tear in the vinyl from a cable end, that I will repair with black Gorilla Tape. Wish it were more like vinylized canvas, a but sturdier. The back of it is longer than the height of my tailgate on my 03 Tacoma. A bit of a nuisance, but otherwise a great value. This just arrived a few days ago, so I can't comment one way or the other on its durability. But it appears to be well made, fits my 2017 Tacoma perfectly (we're talking the "small" / 5-bike pad here), and is well-padded to protect both truck and bikes. As other folks have noted, it was a bit tricky to put on the first time, but now that I have "practice," it goes on & off quickly.I've only got two "dings" on the design:1) There are loops to hold 5 bikes, but actually using them all would be... cozy. I'd say this pad comfortably holds 3 bikes at most. We just need it for 2 (including my wife's sporty e-bike), so that's plenty for me; the extra loops give me a bit of flexibility w.r.t. which ones I use to mount our bikes.2) The bike frames wind up pressing against the part of the pad inside the tailgate -- which is where the "tool pockets" are mounted. I don't expect to ever use those pockets as a result.Had a few minor holes popped in it from hauling bike 300 miles. The rash on the carrier did not damage tailgate so win win.The little camera window doesn’t line up perfect , but it’s still usable if you just set the pad higher than you would normallyWorks and fits good. Be careful when tightening the straps or you'll break the plastic catch thoughIf you take it off and on a lot like me it’s a pain to install as you have to fish the straps up through the gap in the bumper and tailgate.
