This could have easily been a FIVE STAR REVIEW.When I bought this stand it clearly stated it had an 8 mm thread, which matches every drum pad I have.Unfortunately the thread size is closer to a 10/32 - I did not measure it because I don't care - all you need to know is it's not 8 mm.Except for that flaw, the stand is great. Superbly well made, solid as a rock - love it except I had to drill a hole through the plate to mount my pads.
