Do have a plan for the Zombie Apocalypse? Maybe you keep a running list in the back of your mind of those you’d like on your team. Every time you meet someone new, you recognize some traits of a person you’d stay away from in the Zombie Apocalypse. You know, the Governors. The Gareths. The Nicholases. The NEEGANS.You’ve already started building your ZA Team and it is time to put them to the test. You need to know before the Z-A hits who will have your back, and who will trip you when faced with a horde of zombies. THE WALKING DEAD Monopoly will take your preparedness to a whole new level. It begins when you and the other players pick out which game piece to claim. Your best friend goes for Rick’s hat. C’mon. Every one knows YOU’RE the type of leader needed in the Z-A. Wait a minute… mom? Why do you ALWAYS go for Lucille? Grudges begin. You realize how unfair the world really is when your sister’s friend ends up with Alexandria Safe Zone. She’s so lame- she doesn’t even WATCH The Walking Dead!!! Now while Dad’s put up a Guard Tower on Sanctuary, you’ve landed on NEEGAN for the second time in a row.As money runs low, you start to see who your true friends are. Your best friend refuses to give you a discount on transport fees. Dad decides there’s no change given in the Z-A. It’s only been half an hour, and already you have some clarity into who if no longer invited to your Z-A hideaway. This game is a MUST for those who love The Walking Dead. Buy it now, before the Z-A hits and you realize you’re surrounded by a bunch of Woodburians. For a used game everything was in perfect shape and complete. The box had some black tape on the edges which should have been clear but that's no big deal as it's the game that counts. Excellent value. If you like Monopoly and are a fan of the TWD comics, then don't hesitate to get this set. The game plays just like traditional Monopoly, but with subtle changes to make the game feel more like a zombie survival game instead of a "win by being the richest person in the game" type of set up.The idea is to accumlate all the properties, which are comic based, and fortify them with walls and towers (aka houses and hotels). The currency in the game is also different. Instead of hard cash, each bill represents a certain type of essential supply: first aid kits, bullets, grain, etc. Other features, such as income tax, are still in the game, but are changed enough to fit the setting and style of the game. All in all, it's a great remake of Monopoly, and this has become a go-to game at parties when my friends and I want to play a board game. Also, the selling point on this set, for me, was the inclusion of Lori Phone as a playable piece. That alone is worth purchasing this set.Great Monopoly version. I bought this for my boyfriend, we are both huge fans of the show. The pieces are cool, but we wished they had made a piece that represented each of the most important characters, which they only did for some of the pieces. The machete piece which I used as my piece was hard to see on the board so I ended up switching to the bus halfway through so maybe that could have been made bigger by being in a sheath or something. They did a good job with the places on the board, the chance and community chest cards, and the money. We had a lot of fun playing and it will help satiate our cravings as we wait for the new season to be released.Great adaptation of the game. My only complaint would be the manufacturing shortcut that was made when converting the original game's houses and hotels to the Walking dead version of fences and guard houses. They are the same shape as the original game pieces so it was a bit of a let down as far as theme details. It's certainly not strong enough to stop anyone from enjoying the game though. I'd still recommend it to any Monopoly playing Walking Dead fan.Absolutely loved it!! Perfect gift for a friend who loves the walking dead and zombiesAwesome take on monopoly! Only issue with the game is that 2 of the 6 game peices are unusable are the Michonne's Katana and the baseball bat named Lucille. They do not have platforms, and just lie on their side, and are not easy to pick up or move around the board.Other then that, I love the game. Just wish we had more game pieces. I've never had more people want to play the destructive game of monopoly!I got this game because the whole family loves Walking Dead and monopoly. It took a bit to get used to it, but we did enjoy a few games so far. The pieces are small and flimsy. I stuck the sword in a piece of foam so that we wouldn't lose it and could stand it up. The board is a bit confusing and uneven, we are all used to knowing how many spaces there are on each side which makes it easy to move the pieces quickly. So it is novel and okay, but all said and done everyone in my family reverted back to the original monopoly game when asked to play.As an avid fan of monopoly and walking dead I was really really looking forward to playing this game but it was a bit of a let down.First don't buy this survival version for more money - you only get a square box. They say there are new rules but anyone that's played monopoly knows you can deal out cards before you start. I had hope there would be something about zombies attacking you but nope!Second the walls and towers that are you buildings are really wee red houses and black hotels! That is pathetic! I have many versions of monopoly and in them you can get amazing little houses or skyscrapers. So surely it wouldn't have taken much to put them in. A wee brick for walls would have been great - you could stack them!Third, as I said there really wasn't that much WD spin on this game - yeah the properties, the cards and the money are good but My boys wanted some zombie attacks - even a zombie playing piece would have been good. So we made up our own rules which was fun -Zombie Attack - place another piece in the board that represents a zombie. ( we used a Lego person) After everyone has been round the board once then you move the zombie but he only gets one die to role. Then the purpose of the zombie is catch everyone by landing on the same position on the board as a player. That player now becomes a zombie with only one dice to now roll and they can turn others into zombies. You can now end the game when everyone is a zombie or reset back to non zombies if that happens too soon. This did make the game more relevant and fun so I gave it 3 stars. This is perfect for any fan of The Walking Dead comics, my husband loves it and is constantly begging me to play it with him! I've even read all the comics so I can recognise each section of it and appreciate it fully :)bought this for my mum's birthday and I think it's one of the best presents I've ever got her! she's a massive fan of twd (show&comics) and we played this for hours and was loads of fun!Bought this for my 14 year old son's birthday and he LOVES it! He has a few monopoly games already, but this one is certainly the favourite! Everything was included, including the bucket of body parts - extremely happy!Absolutely amazing... Two of the best things in the world The walking dead and Monopoly! Excellent quality and amazing fun to play! PS it is based on the comics not the tv series but still just as good!
