I got these because I am on my feet all day outside on concrete at work. I wear a size 10 shoe but ordered 10 1/2 in this boot based on other reviews. They fit perfect at 10 1/2. My feet did not hurt at the end of the day. I ordered them towards the end of summer when it was still warm out. They really did not keep my feet warm during the winter, which I kind of expected (I did wear thick socks). As far a keeping water out, I am not sure about that. I did not have to stand in any water this year but I do question the water protection. They worked fine in the rain and a few were down pours. These make a great summer boot but I will be ordering something else for winter next year.*UP DATE...I wore these for about a year and half at work. Like I said they are great summer boots. I never found a winter boot I liked so I sucked it up and wore these instead. My feet did get wet a few times in the rain. When it got cold my feet got cold. I am on concrete or asphalt all day and the soles wore out as well as the cushioning. I finally got a pair of winter boots for this year. I will buy these again for next summer.
