Comfortable boots, nice style you will wear year after year, not trendy. If you want to wear socks order 1/2 size up. I’m a 5 1/2 medium they fit close to the foot. Great find, very happy with the purchase.I'm a true size 8 and the 8 fit perfectly. Toe is ROUND, but still stylish, which I love so there's plenty of room in the toe box for thick socks, &/or added arch supports, etc. Arch support is OK, but I'll add my own as well. The sole is very strong rubber and doesn't seem to slide on wet floors. This is exactly what I was looking for: everyday city boot that can take some beating and still look stylish. I did not find the shaft opening to be an issue; leather is soft and breaks in right away.
