15 mile walks with no blisters and quite comfortable, but I think they are too big for moderate weather. I am going to try the shorter versions. Do not put them in the dryer if you want them to retain the original size.Do yourself a favor... read ALL the reviews. 1000 Mile socks are completely unsatisfactory. Go with Smartwool, Darn Tough, Coolmax instead.I have had these for a long time now and they are extremely comfortable and I have never had a blister with them. Thats from walking on all kinds of terrain, mostly undulating off roadFantastic socks if you can persevere with getting the toes in position first, dont expect to just slip them on like a ski sock. ONce on pretty comfy and warmth is good. I have a pair of 1000 mile socks that have lasted about 5 years of hiking! Almost as long lasting as the Salomon ones with kevlar interwoven, now they are the danglies!Sizes seem small than that specified eg. I'm UK size 8 but had to buy the large size and that only just fits.The most comfy socks ever!! The material inside is so soft and the cushion protection perfect. I was worried they would feel too bulky but not at all. Used on a recent long distance walk. Have ordered more and will use over my others from now on.Really comfy. Good fit. Works well. This is the second pair I have had and they are great.
