In the past 4 months I have ordered at least 10 pairs of shoes described as good for those with edema. I have purchased slippers that worked, but ultimately stretched out and let's face it, they aren't shoes. My mom has Parkinson's and limited mobility. She has worked very hard on walking with a PT and I didn't want her to have an excuse not to walk after 4 months of therapy. I had just about given up when I saw these shoes and took a chance. She has one foot significantly more swollen and while I had to loosen the laces and leave them untied (I will get longer ones ASAP) I could actually get this on her foot at 2:00 in the afternoon which means it should fit when she wakes up in the morning. It made me feel relieved to see her walking down the hall in her new shoes which made her feel stable and confident. And I saved $$$ on Amazon which made it even better considering her odd size of 10 XXW. They come with extra insoles so her other foot which is not as swollen will take the extra to keep it on securely. We are relieved to have found these special shoes!The shoes are exactly what I ordered and I have and old pair. Would like to return these and see about gettinga pair in X W width instead WW.
