I bought this product a few days ago and my cat took to scratching her claws on it right away. My cat absolutely LOVES it!! The scratching surface is a very firm cardboard and works great. Most of the paper shaving stay within the box making the clean up a whole lot easier. The best part of owning the cat scratcher is that it keeps my cat off of my furniture!
