The cane I bought was different did not have the nice wooden handle, it did not have a rubber at the tip, I think I will sen back, I bough two other leopard print cane from Amazon I lost them and now they do not carry them any longer and they were great, so disappointed the price was highA well made telescoping aluminum shaft cane similar to several others on the market. 7/8 inch diameter outer shaft and 3/4 inch inner telescoping shaft. The handle is hard plastic and slick when wet or held with sweaty hands. Handle shape is good but I would prefer a softer and less slippery finish for the handle.I just purchased my second Nova cane from Amazon, after several years. The cane is attractive, but I find it has the same BIG problem that my first one had, the reason that I didn’t buy another until now. Why, why why are these freakin’ canes so hard to adjust? This difficulty in adjusting is a major flaw in this product that, I’m sure, discourages repeat sales. The button is almost impossible to depress, and the shaft is very hard to slide up and down. Realizing that canes are usually purchased by elderly/handicapped folks, I would think that this problem would have been corrected long ago. I had to take my new purchase next door to my young neighbor who works out regularly to ask for his help. The cane is attractive; I got the ‘blue paisley’ which is colorful without being too foo-foo, for those of us who aren’t pink flower types. Another minor flaw is the handle material, not very durable, but the difficulty in adjusting the dang thing really may keep me from purchasing another.Comfortable. Easy to adjust to correct heightThis is my first cane. Turning 50 next month and having recently experienced severe knee and hip pain and weakness during this heat/humidity wave, I finally decided that I did need a cane sometimes, and if I had to use one, I wanted a pretty one. :) Also, having to use the cane with my left hand which is my weaker hand, and having done a little research on canes, I found that the T-handle cane would probably be the best type for me. So, I bought the Lilacs and Green Leaves design NOVA Cane with T-Handle. But, unlike the title, the cane doesn't have a strap. I didn't expect that it had a hand strap as the photo didn't show a strap.Although I do tend to walk slower with the cane, I've already experienced less knee and hip pain when walking with it. I feel more stability when getting in and out of the car and when going up and down steps.I was a bit concerned reading in the description that the handle on this cane is molded plastic and isn't padded, however, having found another review of this cane elsewhere, it sounded like the handle would be ok. And it is. The handle is quite comfortable. The cane is not only beautiful, but quite sturdy and it can stand by itself if placed on a very flat, even surface, but can be easily knocked over.I've already discovered a nice bonus to using a cane: I can now reach items on high shelves in the stores. :)Great cane, but the design does chafe on the space between the index and middle fingers. I hold it with the shaft between the index and middle fingers, with my pinkey waving in the air doing whatever it is it does when I'm not paying attention. But I also take a size xxl glove, so this may not be a problem for most people. Quite lightweight, which some folks will see a a benefit and others less so, and the fact that it's hollow gives it a ring when it strikes the ground which some may find disconcerting. I'm thinking about getting another and doing a pour of Thompson's Water Putty to add mass and to lose the ringing sound. (Most people will not notice the ringing sound, but mine is JUST OFF C#, and it bugs the hell out of me). I use my cane more for balance than support, so take this post with that in mind.I had a set of Drive folding canes with a leopard pattern, very attractive. When I needed to reorder because they got shabby, the pattern was no longer available. This design simply didn't look good in person. The handle was not as pictured in the item description. Other than that, it's fine. It's a cane. My mother was very picky and wanted the exact handle that was shown as that is what she had been using. So as long as you don't mind the handle in the picture I've provided, the cane will function well for you.Nous apprécions la facilité d'ajustement et les motifs colorés, mais la poignée en plastic dur n'est pas très confortable pour un usage prolongé.
