fabulous! i think the ad said plastic head but it was metal... son is gonna look amazing with it! its amazing! This cane is perfect. I am still very much working on letting go of my fashion accessory attachment. I am using the excuse that I am paralyzed in several muscles in my legs, and since I am required to use a cane, I wanted a fancy nice one. But that excuse is obvious as I don’t “need” a cobra cane. However, I will bless it and utilize it as my protective Nag, just like our Lord Shiva. No blade, but that is good. These blades are not legal in many places and are screw in blades. Should you ever try to use it, it would potentially break and cut or stab you. It is better that it doesn’t have a blade. Violence is never okay.My son has a thing for staffs and canes. He saw this one and wanted it, because it reminded him of Jafars staff. Not willing to spend much more than $20 on a cane he will use as a toy for pretend play, I bought it. Didn't have time to fully inspect before giving as a Christmas present, I was running behind this year. As other reviewers noted, ours was also missing a gem from the eye, which doesn't say a lot about the quality. I was surprised, as another reviewer was, that it including a junky "sword". It specifically said in the product page that it did NOT include one. The sword causes an irksome clanking when moving the cane about. I can remove it if it becomes a problem. If anyone is looking to use this for more than play/theater/decorative purposes, it does not appear to me that the cane would hold up well for long term orthopedic needs. My son (being a very sweet and naiive 11 year), is of course is absolutely thrilled with his new cane, junky worthless sword, missing eye and all. I'm happy that he's happy, but I would've been happier paying around $15 for it and receiving it without flaws.I had read some mixed reviews.....and decided to give it a try because I only needed as compliment to some outfits that craved the accent. I don't need for physical support ...or self-defense. My cane arrived in a timely manner, and on the same day as a fashion I ordered...and thought it incumbent upon me to use the both of them to exhault myself over my status-challenged neighbors in my building. No sooner than I had raised my cane to command that homage per diem be paid -I was met with resistance...with decent!!! I was under the impression we had divested ourselves from that slur !! And felt cheated we l offered them the peace sign...and they only returned half. As I separated myself from the Nazarenes and took flight back to my apartment - I was picking out my 'fro and noticed again how nicely the cane and dashiki compliments each other and rationalized I'm not as pseudo-omnipotent as my neighbors are jealous...I like the cane. I purchased it because I am having a knee replacement. I get a lot of compliments on it. But There are a few things that I am not that pleased with. The blade literally fell out while I was walking with it. The plastic too lasted two days before it fell apart. So you need a good tip right away. No big deal, they cost $3. The cobra head itself is finished badly. The top has virtually no detail, but my hand covers that. It loosens easily, and contaminated tightened. I like the weight of it it's light. I am tall, 5'9" , and it is long for me, so a shorter person may have to cut the shaft. So, as much as I like the cane, it has some failings which is why I have it a three rating.I have to cut it to my height.Good, Solid construction, very durable, cane head twist on and off very easy. Issues- Tip(foot) is trash. You MUST by a new foot with purchase mine was dry rotted and useless with-in 20 steps. the metal from the cane was scraping against the ground. FYI for the foot you will need a 1" cap not 3/4". The other issue is that the cane head outside and inside where there is a sword, yes it comes with a sword, is corroded. it can be cleaned but once again you get what you pay for.I was disappointed I was hoping it was going to have a sword attached but it was cut off I had to reorder from a different site to get one with a sword the cain is nice but that one thing is the reason why I payed more for that
