Within the pages, Karen brings every day issues to light...gang related violence, the issues of young people being drawn into such violence thinking they have no way out, but with the help of the heavenly angels and the love and concern of Mary Catherine, Marcus, Tyler, and Sami, these young people are shown that God loves them.As the story continues, Mary Catherine finds herself falling for Marcus, but she has made a promise to stay single and when devastating health issues are revealed, she knows that promise must prevail. Marcus, himself, has fallen hard for Mary Catherine and doesn't understand her distance towards him. She tells him they can only be friends, but will she be able to let him go?Jag and Aspyn's mission is not an easy one and at times they doubt themselves and their earthly feelings come out, but with the love of Jesus and prayers from their heavenly friends, they continue on. The unexpected happens within these pages and miracles come to light and you find yourself praying along with these characters. Very moving, yet inspirational read.I always look for a message when I read a Karen Kingsbury book and from CHASING SUNSETS there were several within the pages.....believe in miracles, trust God in every part of your life and know that He only wants what is best for you and He's is in control. Do I believe in angels walking on this earth? Most definitely!!! I encourage you to pick up CHASING SUNSETS and get lost in a story of love, miracles, and angels walking among us!!!
