I've been buying quality shoes for about 10 years now and these are the best shoes ever! 4 years ago I started having hip pain. It wasn't constant but when it flared up I couldn't take more than small steps without sharp pain. I saw the doctor and an xray showed arthritis and I thought I'd just have to live with it. Then a few months ago I started having throbbing pain in my knees which I thought was because of a cheap rental car I was driving. I knew I needed new shoes too and thought they might help with my knees so I researched shoes good for arthritis pain. These New Balance shoes were very highly rated and I already knew and preferred the brand so I got them. The throbbing in my knees was gone within 24 hours!! No kidding. And to my shock and pleasure the pain in my hips was almost completely gone after wearing the shoes for a week! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't know it for a fact that the shoes made that big a difference. I had to take one star off in the lightweight category because they feel a little stiff when you put them on but I love the stretch material and overall they aren't heavy. I would highly recommend these for anyone with knee, hip or even back pain.
