When a disaster strikes, one of the first questions asked is "Where is God? Why did He let this happen?" This book may not tell the reason why it happened, but it will give the reader a better understanding of how God can use all things to His glory!Dr. John gives a very candid and personal account of how God has used him in difficult and almost surreal situations throughout his ministry. It started with a simple request to help build a mobile dental clinic in 1967, and how through prayer, humility, and complete trust in God's plan, one of the largest disaster relief teams in the United States was created.Dr. John takes the reader through disaster relief in America, Central America, Bosnia, Iran and North Korea. He tells about his love for the Lord, his love for his prayer warrior wife, Dr. L (who is also a huge part of this ministry), his love for his family, his ministry, and especially for the people affected by the disasters.I was enthralled with Dr. John's story, and when I finished the last page, I put the book down with a sense of hope, joy, and spiritual renewal. Dr. John's detailed accounts of specific needs, specific prayer, and how God answered those prayers, (and many, many times exceeded any need that the team had), was remarkable. I giggled at the humor, (especially the Baptist jokes), and wept in sadness and in joy. This will be a book that will go in our reference library, and one that will be referred to often. I plan on re-reading it soon, and will be using Dr. John and Dr. L's lessons on specific scripture, prayer, marriage, and ministry to apply in our own lives. For those who know and understand Christ's love for us, this book is a must have. Read it, share it, and learn from two very powerful prayer warriors. For those of you who question your faith, or who do not believe in God's power and grace, I challenge you to read Dr. John's testimony with an open mind and heart. I bet, statistically speaking, it is an improbability that all of the prayers that were answered could be labeled "coincidence". God is at work today, and He is mighty. All situations can be used for His glory..."Ain't God GOOD!"
