Alegria is always my go to shoe brand! I have multiple issues as far as shoes go. Arthritis in my feet, knees and back, issues on the ball of foot, blah blah. It makes finding shoes for different activities challenging. I stand all day at work, and I have three dogs in an apartment that require 3 or 4 walks a day. Moderate arch support, and cush are must haves for the feet, solid rocker soles for the knees and back. That's a lot of verbiage, but it's all to say that these shoes do a really good job of checking all of those boxes! At first I thought they felt really odd, but I've had them a few weeks now and they're great! Waterproof and warm too! I've been walking around on snow and ice (with cleats on them) and single digit wind chill with no socks and my feet have been warm and comfortable. For 15 or 20 minutes at a time anyway. I can slip my foot in while standing, even with high (bone spur high) insteps. You will not regret this shoe, even if it is the ugly duckling in the closet!
