I have many pairs of brightly colored trainers but wanted a plain white pair more for fashion than working out. I bought some Keds and they were awful. Their quality has gone down so much. I saw these white New Balance 928v2 Walking Shoes and liked the look. While they are not as simple and streamlined as Keds, they're very comfortable and supportive.The white ones I got have the mesh. They are not completely leather. The mesh helps to keep them light and airy. They fit perfectly. I have a size 8M foot and that is what I ordered. I can wear these with or without socks. The arch support is nice. It isn't the best but certainly better than the flat arches on many other walking shoes around. The soles are good and provide traction. I am still looking for a pair of washable white leather very low profile sneakers to go with shorts and Capris in the summer (Suggestions appreciated!) but I will get plenty of use out of these New Balance shoes. They don't make my feet look huge like some white shoes can and they are comfortable.I cannot say how they hold up over time nor can I say what I will do when they get dirty. They are not washable obviously. I guess I will have to spot clean them. I took off a star because I can't evaluate yet how they hold up over the long haul but so far,.so good. These are cute, lightweight, and simple. I'm glad I opted not to get the full leather ones. They look to be a lot heavier.
