I have lost much of my flexibility from my younger years and this thing really helps out and gets the husband out of rubbing self-tanner on my back! (Poor guy.) It does an EXCELLENT job.I had a real struggle reading the directions on how to secure the mitt to the wand as the piece of paper was poorly printed and the KEY step was impossible to read. I'm positive I don't have it on there correctly but it totally works so I don't care. I considered deducting a star for this reason but decided it's so awesome to be able to reach my own back that it's still five stars.Tip - I put the mitt on the wand and do my back first - that way I don't have to wrestle the mitt onto the somewhat large round end of the wand on there while it's already soaked with self-tanner, thereby worrying about my hands/palms getting full of tanner.
